The Carolina Heat was formed on January 27th , 2008.

The bases for the team was the collective idea of Ron Little Sr. and Mark Fleischer to take two powerhouse teams and combine into one Dominate force. Ron is the Owner/Coach of the longtime recognized class operation called the Hershey Heat. Mark is a longtime supporter of the outstanding class organization known as Gridlock. After the 2007 season, tough time fell on both organizations and a restructuring needed to take place. Lost in this was talent not always seen at local levels in regards to players without teams. Ron and Mark then put their heads together to come up with the Now being labeled the "Dream Team". the new team name was a combination of the old Hershey heat and the Carolina players that once played for Gridlock, thus Carolina Heat was formed.
